Mission

The mission of Children's Physician Network is to enhance the value of care to children by improving services, supporting pediatric health care professionals, and adding a pediatric voice to health care.

Overview

The CPN is a coalition of pediatric clinics in the Twin Cities metro area, joined together by contract to:

• contract as one entity with health plans
• realize the benefits of pooling membership in risk-based contracts
• gain efficiencies in operations
• realize cost savings through group purchasing
• benefit clinic affiliates through clinical and operational seminars and education
• improve the continuity and delivery of pediatric care
• set the standard for optimal pediatric care

Affiliates are also involved in quality improvement workgroups and are eligible to participate in CPN governance. The CPN operates through an administrative staff, a nurse triage staff, and is governed by a board of directors comprised of physicians, hospital, business, and community representatives.
