Personal Information (Biography): David Aughey, MD has been the medical director for adolescent medicine at Children’s Hospital and Clinics of Minnesota since 1987. He attended medical school at the University of Wisconsin. Pediatric internship was taken at the University of Iowa; Pediatric Residency was completed at the University of Wisconsin, and training ended with an adolescent health fellowship at he University Minnesota. His expertise focuses on the psychosocial and emotional needs and the healthy development of adolescent and young adults. He believes that parents and caring adults are essential to the nurturance and well being of youth. He is particularly interested in brain maturation during adolescence as well as issues of social practice, public health and healthy development.
